(1.0 Unit) (Prerequisite: Eligibility for English 98 or 98SL. Corequisite: Dental Assisting 176. Three laboratory hours weekly.) The student will identify permanent and primary dentition and indicate their nomenclature, location and function. The student will differentiate normal tooth anatomy from oral lesions and demonstrate the ability to record dental charting, perform oral examinations and take vital signs as part of the patient's dental record.
