(1.0 Unit) (Prerequisite: Eligibility for English 98 or 98SL; Dental Assisting 176 may be taken concurrently. Corequisite: Dental Assisting 174. Three laboratory hours weekly.) This lab covers the applications of dental materials to include placement of temporary sedative restorations and placements of cement bases and liners. Taking, pouring, and trimming of preliminary impression materials; fabricating temporary crowns and restorations; preparing final impression materials; and assisting in composite/bonding and crown/bridge dental procedures.
