(5.0 Units) (Prerequisite: Satisfactory score on Math Assessment Test or a grade of C or higher in Math 103 or Math 103XY. Five lecture hours weekly.) This class is an intensive combined course in pre-calculus algebra and trigonometry intended to prepare students for calculus. Topics include: polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions. Also, the binomial theorem, arithmetic and geometric sequences and series, mathematical induction, trigonometric identities, polar coordinates, the conic sections, vectors and applications of right angle trigonometry.
