(1.0 Unit) (No prerequisite. Corequisite: Medical Assisting 136. Three laboratory hours weekly.) The student will develop skills in performing common laboratory procedures and diagnostic tests required of medical assistants as performed in a medical office or clinic (i.e. hemoglobin, hematocrit, EKGs, urinalysis). Lab safety and universal precautions will be stressed. (CSU)
