(3.0 Units) (Prerequisite: Music 106 or Music 111. Three lecture hours and one laboratory hour weekly.) This course includes guided listening and discussions, examples in hand, of music masterworks from the beginning of written history to the present. Prerequisite skills required: ability to read treble and bass clef and easy basic rhythms; understanding tonic and dominant relationship, intervals, triads, 7th chords, major and minor scales and key signatures.
