(0.5 Unit) (No prerequisite. One and one-half laboratory hours weekly.) This course will provide students with the opportunity to design and implement group or individual creative projects containing graphics, animation, audio, video or authoring components. This course will provide a forum for exploring and testing potential project ideas that students will take from concept to final product. Students will receive guidance and support in critiquing work, forming creative alliances, and polishing existing work. This course is for students who are ready to plan, design and implement independent advanced multimedia projects such as CD-ROMs, DVDs, Web sites and more. Lab activities will involve taking a project idea, either individually or as a group, through the following production stages: design, preproduction, prototyping, production, testing, and delivery. May be taken twice for credit. (CSU)
