Description:
(0.5-2 Units) (Prerequisite: Knowledge and demonstration of efficient swimming skill. Two, three or six activity hours weekly.) This course is designed to provide the student with the opportunity to develop and maintain cardiovascular fitness through swimming at all skill levels. Instruction in competitive swim strokes starts and turns, interval, sprint and distance training. Individualized workouts will be available. Information on competing in the U.S. Master's Swim Meets will be available for those interested in the competitive aspects of swimming. May be taken four times for credit. (CSU/UC) AA/AS Area H
