Banner Title: Organic Chemistry This course provides an introduction to organic chemistry and biochemistry. Topics include the properties, structure, nomenclature, and reactions of hydrocarbons, alcohols, phenols, ethers, halides, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, esters, amines, and amides. Also included are the properties, structure, and function of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and enzymes. Prerequisites: CHM 192 with a grade of C or better or CHM 193 with a grade of C or better Offered Winter term
