Banner Title: Direct Support Practicum II This practicum accompanies DCP 111 and provides students with guided experiences in supporting persons with disabilities in community environments in a manner that is inclusive, community-based, and person centered. Topics include using positive behavior supports and teaching strategies in community settings, demonstrating basic knowledge of health and other personal wellness practices, and practicing and participating in developing organizational structures that facilitate the effectiveness of direct support staff. Prerequisites: DCP 110, DCP 113 Corequisite: DCP 111 Offered on an as-needed basis for the Direct Support Professional technical certificate of credit
