Banner Title: Med/Surg I Practicum This practicum course focuses on wellness and the prevention of illness, care of the individual as a whole, and deviations from the normal state of health. Topics include cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, urinary, and gastrointestinal systems and their associated illnesses; pharmacology; nursing procedures and techniques; diet therapy; and utilizing the nursing process. Prerequisites: AHS 102 with a grade of C or better, AHS 103 with a grade of C or better, AHS 104 with a grade of C or better, NSG 110 with a grade of C or better Corequisite: NSG 112 Offered Spring term
