Banner Title: Clinical Practicum I This course provides students with clinical experiences under the supervision of licensed physical therapists and/or physical therapist assistants in local health care facilities to observe and practice skills learned in classroom and laboratory sessions. Topics include preparation of patients, treatment areas, and equipment; goniometric measurements; vital signs; transfers/body mechanics; therapeutic heat and cold; sterile techniques; interpersonal communication skills; note writing; and treatment modification. Prerequisites: PTA 201 with a grade of C or better, PTA 202 with a grade of C or better, PTA 203 with a grade of C or better Offered Summer term
