Banner Title: Anesthesiology This course provides training in surgical assisting, postoperative care, and anesthesiology and emphasizes assisting in surgical procedures and administering and monitoring anesthesia. Topics include surgical assisting, anesthesia administration, anesthesia monitoring, special equipment, and dentistry. Practical experience through rotations at veterinary clinical sites and field trips may occur on days other than scheduled class days. Students must pay a $25 supply fee when registering for this course. Prerequisites for Fall 2008 and Fall 2009: VET 103 with a grade of C or better, VET 212 with a grade of C or better, VET 213 with a grade of C or better Prerequisites beginning Summer 2010: VET 212 with a grade of C or better, VET 213 with a grade of C or better, VET 216 with a grade of C or better Corequisite for Fall 2008 and Fall 2009: VET 231 Prerequisite/Corequisite for Fall 2008 and Fall 2009: VET 111 with a grade of C or better Prerequisite/Corequisite beginning Summer 2010: BIO 197 with a grade of C or better Offered Fall 2008 and Fall 2009, Summer term thereafter
