Description: Survey of modern cosmology including the origin and nature of the universe and mankind's place in it. Topics include cosmological models, theories of structure formation in the universe, origin and evolution of galaxies, formation of stars and solar systems, quasars, black holes, dark matter, vacuum energy and the latest theories on the origin and ultimate fate of the universe, latest discoveries in observational cosmology and extra-terrestrial life.
