Banner Title: Introduction to Sociology This course provides students with a sociological analysis of society, its culture, and structure. Instructors present sociology as a science with emphasis placed on its methodology and theoretical foundations. Topics include basic sociological concepts, socialization, social interaction and culture, social groups and institutions, deviance and social control, social stratification, and social change. Prerequisites: ENG 099 with a grade of C* or better and RDG 098 with a grade of C* or better or placement by diagnostic testing Offered quarterly
