Description: Introduces techniques of investigation and problem solving in astronomy as a means to understanding man's place in the universe. The identification of constellations, planets, stars and features of the moon; the use of a telescope to locate and identify double stars, galaxies, clusters, and nebulae; the use of astronomical computer software to help locate and demonstrate the movement of astronomical objects is covered.
