Description: Introduction to computer science and software engineering for computer science majors (CS1) and computer professionals. A systematic approach to the design, construction, and management of computer programs, emphasizing object-oriented design and programming documentation, testing and debugging techniques. Focuses on designing and implementing robust, well styled, and maintainable computer programs. Course also includes introduction to basic data structures and computer ethics. This course conforms to the ACM CS1 standards. Transfer: CSU, UC.
