Description: Innovative and influential, Latin American literature vividly portrays life and mores of our neighboring countries to the south. This course samples greater and lesser-known works, revealing the literary trends and characteristics that have earned world recognition. The literature provides the background for an understanding of the cultural experiences and concerns of the Latino in this country. Material in a variety of genres is presented.
