Description: Introduces students to the theories, laws, concepts and language of chemistry as applied to explain chemical processes occurring in the environment and in the body. The laboratory component provides qualitative techniques for the manipulation of selected household chemicals as well as quantitative techniques for more rigorous chemical analyses.
