Description: This course presents an overview of the literary history of women writers, selecting from, in different semesters, African American, Native American, Asian American, and Hispanic groups, and then concentrates in depth on selected writers and works. The focus is both on the written contributions as well as the social and political situations of American ethnic women writers. (Fulfills Associate degree Ethnic Studies requirement.)
