Description: Survey of today's most prevalent health problems, including heart disease, cancer, venereal disease, birth control, drug abuse, and emotional disorders. Emphasizes detection, treatment, and prevention of personal and social health problems as well as the promotion of physical and emotional well-being. Transfer: CSU: E1, UC. REGULAR COURSE: Units 3; Class Hours: Minimum of 48 lecture/16 by arrangement lab hours/semester; Recommended: Eligibility for READ 836, and ENGL 836 or ESL 400; Prerequisite(s): None. Description: Introduction to basic concepts of personal health with emphasis on promotion of physical and emotional well-being.
