Units (Grade Option) 2; Class Hours: Minimum of 32 lecture/16 lab/48 by arrangement lab hours/semester; Recommended: Eligibility for READ 836, and ENGL 836 or ESL 400; Prerequisite(s): MUS. 302, 303 and 304 require the previous level. Description: These applied music courses stress the basics of piano playing from beginning through advanced levels. Students are taught the foundations of piano technique, to read music, to play musically, and to expand their repertoire. For those with no music literacy, concurrent or previous enrollment in MUS. 100 is recommended if enrolling in level I. MUS. 304 may be repeated for credit. Transfer: CSU, UC.
