Description: Designed for students of all cultural backgrounds. Introduction to intercultural communication principles and processes; provides for the development of a more global communication perspective and greater appreciation of other cultures through increased awareness of, and sensitivity to different cultural viewpoints influenced by variables including language, verbal and nonverbal communication, cultural values, gender identification, technology and media impact. This course allows students to examine and improve their intercultural communication competence. Transfer: CSU: DSI.
