This course is a comprehensive study of the characteristics, teaching strategies, assessment tools, and placement alternatives for children with learning disabilities. Topics include characteristics, causes, assessment instruments, learning strategies, and collaborative methods for children with learning disabilities. Upon completion, students should be able to assist in identifying, assessing, and providing educational interventions for children with learning disabilities. This course is a unique concentration requirement in the Special Education concentration in the Early Childhood Education program. S10363
