(3 credits, 90 contact hours) SP This course provides practical experience in a laboratory setting, prior to actual on-site rotations at affi liated training sites. Topics include: collection and organization of patient data, order entry processes, medication distribution systems, inventory, prescription processing, labeling, billing, repackaging, fl oor stock and controlled substance distribution, pharmaceutical computer systems, utilization of drug information resources, and proper communications techniques. The purpose of this course is to prepare participants for PTNL 1940 Pharmacy Technician Internship I. Lab fee. Pass with a C or better. Prerequisites: PTN 1101, PTN 1102. Acceptance into a PTN program. Corequisites: PTN 1123, HSC 2149.
