(3 credits) This course includes a review of linear and absolute value equations and inequalities and factoring polynomials, the study of quadratic equations and inequalities, rational exponents and their properties, radicals, complex numbers, rational expressions and equations, graphing linear functions and interpreting graphs, solving systems of linear equations and inequalities, an introduction to functions, function notation, function operations, and composite functions and applications. Prerequisite: MAT 0024 with a grade of C or higher or score out on appropriate placement test.
