(40 clock hours, 1.33 occupational credits) This course is available only to students who are accepted into the Basic Law Enforcement certifi cate program. Course includes Module 3, Units 1 and 2, of the new Criminal Justice Standards and Training Applied Basic Law Enforcement program. This is a high liability course involving medical fi rst responder training with both lecture and applied training. This course will also introduce prospective offi cers to the regulatory requirements that apply to fi rst responders to hazardous materials incidents, the identifi cation of the hazards posed by such incidents and what action needs to be taken at the awareness level.
