(3 credits) The student will gain knowledge of the eight areas of competency required by the Child Care Professional Certifi cate and demonstrate mastery in each area through their EEC 1001 coursework and through an offi cial observation of the student in their early childhood classroom. The student will gain knowledge of state rules and regulations regarding child care programs, child growth and development, and developmentally appropriate practice concerning children ages birth through eight. Corequisite: CHD 2322, EEC 2300.
