(4 credits) Focuses on the non-native speaker of English who is in need of intensive work on vocabulary development and composition skills of a suffi cient level to anticipate the successful entry into college level course work. Involves both classroom (3 hours) and language laboratory (minimum of 1 hour.) Students should anticipate daily homework assignments. Assignments will include exercises in grammar, vocabulary, writing, reading, and some research.
