(3 credits) Microeconomics. The study of theories of production, price determination, and resource allocation. In addition, the economics of inequality, poverty, and comparative economic systems are studied. Prerequisite: Completion of REA 0002 and ENC 0020 with a C or better or score out on appropriate placement test. ?* EDF 1005 Introduction to Education (3 credits) This course explores the historical foundations of education in the United States, and looks at various philosophies and approaches to education and current topics of concern to teachers, parents, and administrators of schools, with particular emphasis on schools in Florida. A fi eld experience is required. While there are no prerequisites, students should be aware that reading and writing are important parts of the course. Any student scoring into Principles of Reading (REA 0002) and/or Writing (ENC 0020) would be well advised to complete them before attempting this course. This is a prerequisite course for admission to teacher education programs at the university level.
