(3 credits) GE, GR Introductory survey of basic social and political institutions of ancient New Eastern and early modern European history. Topics include Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome; rise of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam; early development of Europe from the fall of Rome through the Middle Ages. Chronologically, the course will cover from ancient times through the 16th Century. Prerequisite: REA 0002 and ENC 0020 with a C or better or score out on appropriate placement test.
