(3 credits) Students will be introduced to the modes of discourse (Narrative, Argument, etc.) and be required to write sentences and paragraphs targeted at those modes. Focus will also be on preparing students for the multiple choice section of the State exit exam. Students must pass this course with a C or better, and pass the state exit exam, before going on to ENC 0020. Includes mandatory one hour per week in Learning Lab. Lab fee. Prerequisite: CPT score of 20-59. Corequisite: SLS 1101.
