(3 credits) SP Introduction to Emergency Medical Technician covers psychomotor components of Modules 1 to 7 of the U.S. Department of Transportation, National Standard Curriculum for Emergency Medical Technician - Basic. Medical Technician-Basic Lab (EMS 1119L), EMT Hospital/Field Experience (EMS 1431), Issues in Domestic Violence (WFHX 0018), Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (WFHX 0011), Basic Extrication (WFHX 0012) and Florida Level I Hazardous Materials Awareness (WFHX 0016) are required corequisites and satisfy additional Educational requirements set by the Florida Department of Education (Health CORE) and the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (64E-2 FAC).
