(3 credits) (60 contact hours of lecture & lab) This course is an introduction to the basics of therapeutic exercises including passive, active, active-assistive, passive stretching, and resistive exercises and activities. Exploration of the variety of modes of exercises applying concurrent information of kinesiology principles and also considering patient/client safety. Offers a foundational knowledge about the types, uses, and methods of various exercise programs in relation to major disabilities. Lab fee. Pass with a C or better. Prerequisite: Admission into Phase 2 of PTA program and PHT 1004. Corequisite: PHT 1175, PHT 1200, PHT 1200L.
