This course teaches the fundamental folk dance movements along with cultural traditions from various countries. Emphasis is placed on the history and traditions of the folk dance as well as the movements and the dances themselves. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate folk dances as well as knowledge of their origins and cultural traditions. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a premajor and/or elective course requirement. S10499
