(Prerequisites: AHS 102, AHS 105, PHR 101, and PSY 1010 or PSY 1101) Introduces the student to pharmacy practices. Topics include: purchasing, inventory control procedures, packaging and labeling, dispensing, distribution and documentation. Other topics include: specific drugs, reference sources, filing systems, pharmacy math, aseptic technique, compounding and control of drugs, and use of pharmaceutical equipment. This course provides laboratory and clinical practice.
