Institutional Credit Only For students who do not meet entrance test requirements in writing or grammar skills. Placement is determined by the Compass placement exam score. Includes an introduction to composition with a focus on writing the short essay and a review of grammar with an emphasis on sentence structure. To exit, students must successfully complete course requirements, a written essay and pass the exam portion of the Compass exam.
