Class hours: 3.0 Lecture Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of the English Placement Process or ENGL 52 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. As an introduction to the fundamentals of group discussion, this course focuses on the individual's communication in a small group setting; leadership in groups; group communication norms and processes with emphasis on problem solving and conflict reduction techniques. Videotape is used as an evaluative tool. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC* *UC credit limits may apply. SPCH 100 and SPCH 132 combined: maximum credit, one course.
