Class hours: 1.0 Lecture/1.5 Laboratory Prerequisite: MUS 112 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. This course will survey various origins and history of piano ensemble repertoire. Emphasis on development of basic technical skill, sight reading, transposition, improvisation, correct harmonization of melodies with piano accompaniments, principles of accompanying soloists and ensemble playing.
