Class hours: 3.0 Lecture This course for allied health students will cover cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid techniques as specified by the American Red Cross. Topics will include one-and-two person CPR for infants, children, and adults; resuscitation with mask and bag-valve mask; automated external defibrillator (AED); and early intervention for wounds, burns, trauma and sudden illness. A Professional Rescuer CPR Card valid for one year and a Standard First Aid Certificate valid for three years will be earned with successful completion of the course. Transfer Credit: CSU
