Class hours: 3.0 Lecture Prerequisite: JAPN 282 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. This course provides intensive oral practice in discussion of controversial topics and expressing informed opinions regarding current affairs, the arts, and political issues. Emphasis is on the acquisition of appropriate vocabulary and language patterns, and the creative development of arguments. This course, conducted in Japanese, is recommended for all Japanese majors.
