Class hours: 0.7 Lecture/1.0 Laboratory This class provides thirty hours of Phlebotomy training, in classroom instruction and hands-on application. Topics of instruction and testing include, but are not limited to the following: venipuncture and capillary puncture procedures, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Training, anatomy and physiology of the vascular system, patient care and special considerations, equipment selection, and blood processing. This course does not meet requirements for state certification for phlebotomist.
