Class hours: 2.0 Lecture/3.5 Laboratory Recommendation: CRCC114 and CRCC 119B or equivalent with grades of Pass or "C" or higher. This course is for students proficient in computerized machine shorthand writing skills and who are interested in a stenographic computer-aided medical transcribing career. It provides a systematic approach toward building a basic personal medical dictionary. The dictionary entries include Latin and Greek prefixes, roots, suffixes and combining forms as well as medical terminology that will be created using a computer-aided transcription (CAT) software system.
