Class hours: 2.0 Lecture/8.0 Laboratory Recommendation: Minimum stenotype speed of 225 wpm and typing speed of 60 wpm. Strongly recommend completion of CSR academic requirements and Court Reporting CAT computer classes. This course is designed for candidates for the Certified Shorthand Reporter examination, the Registered Professional Reporter examination, and the Registered Merit Reporter examination. It will provide intensive, sustained dictation at 240-260 wpm to develop speed, accuracy, and endurance on the steno machine. (Formerly BUSC 181) Transfer Credit: CSU
