Class hours: 3.0 Lecture This course explores humanity's changing view of the cosmos and its place in that cosmos from the earliest times to the present. Topics include comparative cosmologies of ancient culture, the Copernican revolution, the Enlightenment, and the modern view of the universe developed over the last two centuries.
