Prerequisite: Satisfactory Compass exam scores in both English and Reading Students engage in analysis of critical and contemporary educational issues in the sociopolitical contexts of education settings in Georgia and the U.S., examining the teaching professional from perspectives from within and outside the school. Students interpret the East Georgia College Course Descriptions 7 9 meaning of education and schooling in a diverse culture and examine the moral and ethical responsibilities of teaching in a democracy. A practicum is required in preschool or elementary school for this course. Students must earn a grade of 'C' to pass the course.
