Class hours: 3.0 Lecture Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of the English Placement Process or ENGL 52 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. This course presents theories and principles of communication with an emphasis on application of concepts relevant to intercultural communication. It has a culture general approach focusing on variables which influence the communication process. Assignments and activities involve students in the analysis of different communication patterns across cultures and the exploration and practice of methods, skills and techniques for improving intercultural communication.
