Class hours: 1.0 Lecture/1.0 Laboratory Recommendation: JOUR 101 or RTV 152 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. This course teaches the principles and practice of writing for audio podcasts emphasizing news and information. Short podcast shows will be developed in class. Current podcast shows will be analyzed and evaluated for structure. Students will learn microphone techniques, the use of audio, studio procedure, and how to develop appropriate content for a podcast show or newscast. Current technology and digital format will be utilized to produce individual podcasts. Transfer Credit: CSU
