Class hours: 2.0 Lecture/1.0 Laboratory Recommendation: CRCC 119B, CRCC 144 and CRCC 193A or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. This course is designed to be a basic course in broadcast captioning, also known in the industry as closed-captioning using court reporting skills. This course will cover the basic theoretical concepts of broadcast captioning for students interested in exploring a career in the broadcast captioning field. This course may be taken a maximum of 2 times.
