Class hours: One (1) hours control class each week plus 15 hours of employment per week for Instructional Aide work experience 73 or 20 hours of employment per week for Instructional Aide work experience 74. The employment must be in a job related to the student's educational goal. Corequisite: Enrollment in the Instructional Aide vocational program with 7 or more units including occupational work experience. Occupational Work Experience is a supervised employment program in an approved workstation related to the student's declared major. Students meet with their instructor for a minimum of one hour per week and will receive credit for on-the-job learning experiences that are new or are an expansion of their regular responsibilities. Students who are not employed but wish to gain work experience may be placed in a non-paying position if such opportunities are available. These courses may be taken for a maximum of 2 times based on the number of hours on the job.
