Class hours: 1.0 Lecture/3.0 Laboratory Prerequisite: BCOT 52 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. Recommendation: Ability to type 30 wpm and familiarity with the microcomputer, e-mail, and e-mail attachments, and to be able to complete assignments in a timely manner. This course is designed for additional training and skills for advanced keyboarding and data entry problems. Students will learn to proofread, evaluate, and create a project report reflecting the quality and accuracy of the keyboarding projects. The students will continue to improve data entry skills by working with projects more complex than those encountered in BCOT 52. Data entry jobs will be multi-faceted utilizing multi-form screen input. Students will utilize a full screen data entry terminal. This course can be taken in a traditional classroom setting or online environment.
